What is Her Heart?

herheart-logo.gifWhen you think of heart disease, who comes to mind? An overweight middle-aged man? Think again.

You may be surprised to learn that one in three women will die from heart disease, regardless of age or ethnicity. That's more fatalities each year than from cancer, car accidents, AIDS and pulmonary diseases combined. In fact, it's the number one killer of women in America. And, when it comes to cardiovascular health, there are some important differences between men and women.

Texsan has developed a special program to support and educate just women. Her Heart will help you make informed choices to live a stronger, longer, heart healthy life. Clinics, workshops and classes offered through Her Heart will address emotional, spiritual, social, cultural and physical well-being. We'll provide motivation and support for lifestyle changes, conduct heart assessments and help with weight loss, smoking cessation and exercise plans.

With Her Heart, you can resolve to be healthier. We will be with you every step of the way.
